Kevin Manner / Independent technical practice
I like making the pieces work together.
I’m a technology consultant and applied AI builder. I help people understand a problem, choose a workable approach, and carry it through implementation and handoff.
Grounded in day-to-day technology work.
Since 2008, I’ve run PC Solutions, a technology consulting practice serving small businesses and nonprofits. That work has taken me across office networks, Windows endpoints, business applications, cloud services, security, and backup and recovery.
The common thread is responsibility for the whole problem: talking with owners and staff, finding where the pieces fail to connect, working with vendors, implementing a solution, and helping people use and maintain it.
Databoxes brings together the software projects, methods, and public material growing out of that practice. It is a place to show the work and explain the decisions behind it.
Building on that foundation.
Recent independent work explores voice agents with memory and follow-up, community coordination, and assessment automation. I use Python, TypeScript, APIs, databases, and AI-assisted development to turn those ideas into prototypes that can be inspected and tested.
I’m especially interested in what the operator can see: what happened, what was saved, what needs attention, and how to recover when something goes wrong. That is the connection between my consulting background and my application work.
See the projects and their evidenceHow I approach a system.
Understand the situation.
Start with the people, existing tools, constraints, and actual failure. Make the unknowns visible before choosing a solution.
Build a useful next step.
Choose a scope that can be implemented and checked. Connect the tools around the work people need to do.
Leave it understandable.
Verify the result, document the decisions, and give the operator a clear handoff.
The O.A.K. Method gives this approach a simple structure: Organize, Assemble, Keep. My resources and teaching material explore it in more detail.

Let’s work through something useful.
I welcome conversations about consulting projects and roles in implementation, integration, technical solutions, and applied AI.
